Crusader Notes For April 22

WORCESTER, Mass. – The men’s track and field team will get the week started with a home meet on Tuesday, April 22 versus New Hampshire, Rhode Island and Worcester State at 3:00 p.m. The men’s and women’s track and field teams will also compete in the Brown Invitational on Sunday, April 27 with events beginning at 10:00 a.m. The men’s tennis team will travel to Hartford for a 3:30 p.m. match on Tuesday, April 22, before it competes in the single elimination Patriot League Tournament at West Point, N.Y. on Thursday-Sunday, April 24-27.

The baseball team will host Maine on Tuesday, April 22 for a 5:00 p.m. contest at Fitton Field and will travel to Siena on Wednesday, April 23 for a 4:00 p.m. game. The Crusaders will also travel to Lewisburg, Pa. to take on Bucknell in a four-game series on Saturday and Sunday, April 26-27, with doubleheaders on both days starting at 12:00 p.m. The women’s lacrosse team will host Colgate in the quarterfinal round of the Patriot League Tournament on Tuesday, April 22 at 5:00 p.m. The matchup can be viewed on the Patriot League Network, click here to watch.

The Holy Cross softball team will make the trek to Poughkeepsie, N.Y. on Wednesday, April 23 for a 3:00 p.m. twin bill at Marist beginning at 3:00 p.m. The Crusaders will also host Army on Saturday and Sunday, April 26-27. Saturday will feature a doubleheader at 12:00 p.m., while the third game of the series will begin at 12:00 p.m. on Sunday. The women’s golf team will conclude the 2013-2014 season at the Hamilton Invitational on Saturday and Sunday, April 26-27, while the men’s golf team will play in the Patriot League Championship on Saturday and Sunday in West Point, N.Y. The men’s and women’s rowing teams will wrap up the week’s events with races on Sunday, April 27. The men’s team will host Bucknell at 10:00 a.m., while the women’s team will travel to Rutgers for an 8:00 a.m. race.
