Biography
A high school All-American in the
Hammer Throw while attending LaSalle Academy in Providence, RI,
Morrison was an All-New England Selection for four years.
His achievements were numerous, including New England Champion
in the 35 pound weight in 1973. He was an All-East Selection
twice, and an All-American in 1974 and 1975 in both indoor and
outdoor track, whe he also served as team captain. His
accomplishments were also recognized nationally, as he participated
in the United States Olympic Trials in both 1972 and
1976.
Honored as the Crusader of the Year in 1975, he graduated as the
holder of school records in the Hammer and 35 Pound Weight.
Also an excellent student, Morrison was an honor student and
graduated with a physics degree in 1975 and moved on to medical
school.
