Ed Siudut was the first-ever Holy Cross student-athlete to earn an NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship in 1969, when he also received Academic All-America honors from the College Sports Information Directors of America. He totaled 1,611 points and 888 rebounds during his collegiate career from 1966-1969, while leading the team in both scoring and rebounding during each of his three seasons on the varsity. At the time of his graduation, Siudut ranked second all-time at Holy Cross with an average of 22.4 points per game, and stood fourth with an average of 12.3 rebounds per contest. He was named All-New England and All-District three times, in addition to receiving All-ECAC honors twice. Chosen as the 1969 Crusader of the Year as Holy Cross’ top scholar-athlete, Siudut was drafted in the second round by San Francisco Warriors of the National Basketball Association in 1969, in addition to being selected by the New York Nets in the American Basketball Association draft.
