Biography

DeAngelis played varsity baseball from 1966-70 under coach Bob Curran. He was a team player and supported the Crusaders with a fine glove as an outfielder and first baseman as well as with his clutch cleanup hitting. He was a two-time All New England first team selection (1968 & 1970), and was chosen for the All Tournament Team at the 1970 Florida State University Invitational Tournament, where he batted .350 over a six game series. Excelling in the classroom as well, Rick was only the second Crusader, and first Holy Cross baseball player to be chosen Academic All American (Second Team) in 1970. Upon graduation he pursued a career in law.
