Biography
An attackman for the Crusaders, Paletta was the leading scorer and team MVP for the 1982, 1983 and 1984 squads, graduating with the career scoring record (149 goals) and the single season scoring record (52 goals). He was chosen Colonial League All-Star as a junior and again as a senior, and was selected All-New England following both seasons. George was among the top ten nationally in scoring in 1982, 1983 and 1984. He played in the 1984 New England All-Star Game, and was a participant in the 1984 North-South College All-Star Game. Paletta was honored by the Varsity Club as its Crusader of the Year in 1984. After graduation Paletta got his medical degree from Johns Hopkins and has become a well-known name in professional athletics by serving for many years as the team physician for the St. Louis Cardinals.
