Biography
As a freshman on the men's
ice hockey team, Curley tallied a team-best 22 goals and 39 points
while leading the Crusaders to a then-school-record 17 wins and its
first bid into the ECAC Playoffs. His efforts continued the
next year as he led the team with 24 goals and 50 points en route
to an 18-win season and another postseason bid.
In Curley's junior year, the Crusader hockey program netted
its first 20-win season, finished 21-9-0, and won its first
ECAC Playoff game. He finished the season with the team
lead in assists (27) and points (43), which earned him All-New
England, First Team All-ECAC, and First Team Titan
All-American honors. He was also selected as an All-Star
by the New England Hockey Writers. As a senior, he capped off
a marvelous career by leading the team again in goals (31) and
points (59), the best offensive output by a Crusader in seven
years. His efforts earned him another First Team
All-ECAC selection.
Curley graduated second all-time in goals with 93, second in
assists with 98, and third in points with 191. He played on
four Crusader teams from 1977-1981 that finished 71-45-0
overall, 37-17-0 at the Hart Center, and won four in-season
tournaments, including two Crusader Classics.
