Biography
Graves was one of the early
architects of the Crusader men's ice hockey program. In his
four years at Holy Cross from 1973-1977, he led the team in all
three offensive categories twice. He was named an ECAC
All-Star and the ECAC Rookie of the Year in 1973-1974 when he led
the team in assists (42) and points (59). In his sophomore
season, he led the Crusaders all three offensive categories,
netting 20 goals and 35 assists for 55 points. He would
duplicate the feat again in his senior season, with 22 tallies and
31 helpers for 53 points, and was named an Honorable Mention
All-American.
He graduated first in career assists with 122, second in goals with
75, and second in points with 197. When he left Holy Cross in
1977, his 2.12 points-per-game average was third in school history.
