Biography
Courtney finished her career as one
of the top women's basketball players in Holy Cross history.
A native of Yorktown Heights, N.Y., she was a dominating
inside presence during her tenure in purple. She graduated as
the career leader in blocks (309), and finished her career in
first, second and fourth place all-time for blocks in a season (91,
87 and 76, respectively). Courtney finished second all-time
in career rebounds (1,011), second in rebounds per game (8.6),
fifth all-time in career scoring (1,539) and sixth in points per
game (13.2).
A captain her senior season, Courtney's teams posted an 82-37
record, including a 23-4 mark in her last season, and two NCAA
Tournament appearances. In 1997, she earned Academic
All-America and Patriot League Scholar Athlete of the Year honors,
along with being named Patriot League Player of the Year and Holy
Cross Varsity Club Crusader of the Year.
