Biography

Without question one of the most well-known Jesuit ever at Holy Cross, Father Hart created and served as the director of HC’s intramural program for more than 40 years. His passion for athletics, both recreational and at the varsity level, were a part of the fiber of Crusader athletics for decades. In recognition of his many contributions to the Holy Cross athletics program, the Hart Recreation Center (opened in 1975) was named in his honor. He passed away in 1986.
