A three year starter at quarterback under Dr. Eddie Anderson, Kidd led the Crusaders to a 24-4-2 record during his three years. As a sophomore, Kidd led the Crusaders to victories over Brown, Harvard and Boston College. It was the first time in history HC had beaten all three teams in the same season. Perhaps Kidd’s best game came against Colgate, as a sophomore in 1935, when he had two interceptions returned a punt 50 yards and kicked a 33 yard field goal for a 3-0 win. That propelled HC to its first full-year undefeated season (9-0-1). He passed away in 1992.
