WORCESTER, Mass. - The 14th annual Holy Cross Cares Day took place on Saturday, March 26, 2011, with Holy Cross students going out into the Worcester area to perform community service activities. Student-athletes from the women's basketball, field hockey and football teams all took part.
The day involved student volunteers performing various activities, including painting, raking and picking up trash at schools, churches, and parks throughout the city of Worcester. Student-athletes performed their community service at a number of loctaions, including the Nativity School of Worcester, Cookson Park, St. Stephen School, Sullivan Middle School, the South Worcester Neighborhood Improvement Center, the Pernet Family Health Service, Habitat for Humanity-MetroWest / Greater Worcester ReStore, the Rape Crisis Center of Central Massachusetts and Elm Park.
