WORCESTER, Mass. - Director of Athletics Nathan Pine introduced a vibrant and contemporary new set of marks for the 27-sport intercollegiate athletics program at the College of the Holy Cross on Monday. The athletics announcement was made in conjunction with the public unveiling of the College’s new website design and institutional graphic identity.
“The new marks for athletics build upon the well-established spirit and tradition of Holy Cross and the Crusader,” said Pine. “At the same time, the marks are a branding refresh that will embody the forward progress of Holy Cross athletics, and will be used with consistency and pride across all our programs. We look forward to these marks being well received by our students, alumni and friends of the College.”
The primary athletics logo has been modified to include a new shield for the Crusader and a new font for the words Holy Cross. New secondary logos have been added featuring a shield with an interlocking “HC” along with a stand-alone “HC,” in addition to the existing Crusader head that will continue to be used as a tertiary mark.
The athletics marks were developed in consultation with the agency GMMB, Inc., which also consulted on the refreshed graphic identity for the College.
