May 21, 2012 * By Kevin Gleason * Middletown Times Herald-Record
Army baseball coach Joe Sottolano quickly dismissed the idea that the pressure falls squarely on his team Monday in the championship game of the Patriot League tournament. The Black Knights won their first 17 league games during the regular season. They finished 18-2 in the Patriot and took a 39-12 record into Sunday's doubleheader against Holy Cross, Games 1 and 2 of the best-of-three series for the tourney title. . .

South grad Jones still chasing NFL dream
May 20, 2012 * By David Jablonski * Springfield News-Sun
The NFL dream never died for Aaron Jones. Two years ago, the 2006 South High School graduate tried out for the New Orleans Saints after a stellar career on the offensive line at College of the Holy Cross. A year ago, he didn’t get any opportunities, in part because of the lengthy NFL lockout. Then last weekend his quest continued as Jones took part in a rookie minicamp with the Carolina Panthers. . .

Watertown's Mike McCabe described his introduction to the National Football League with the Green Bay Packers the past week "as mayhem, absolutely. The minicamp was information overload." Still, the 23-year-old former Taft and College of Holy Cross graduate has adjusted well since arriving last week in Green Bay as one of 14 rookie free agents. . .

Vos earns the 'C' at Holy Cross
May 1, 2012 * By Chris Funston * Flamborough Review
Carlisle’s Erik Vos has been named captain of the Holy Cross Crusaders men’s hockey team. “It’s a huge honour,” says Vos, “It’s been a short three years when you look back at it, but the fact that I’ve garnered the respect of both my coaches and my fellow teammates is a huge feeing for me.” Vos, an economics and accounting major, was awarded the ‘C’ by a vote by both players and coaches. . .
