Former Holy Cross quarterback Dominic Randolph didn't hear his
name called in the last rounds of the 2010 NFL draft, but then even
if it had been called on Day 3, the standout signal-caller wouldn't
have heard it. He was outside playing horseshoes and enjoying the
nice Worcester, Mass., weather on Saturday. . .
Giant move for HC QB

Dominic Randolph has taken a giant step — literally
— toward his dream of playing in the NFL. The former Holy
Cross quarterback signed a free-agent contract with the New York
Giants yesterday. He will join his new team for rookie minicamp

It's official: Holy Cross hires new
basketball coach

Milan Brown is making the move from Mount St. Mary’s to
Mount St. James. Holy Cross announced today that it has hired the
39-year-old Brown to be its new men’s basketball coach. Brown
was 95-120 the last seven seasons at Mount St. Mary’s and
guided the Mountaineers to an NCAA appearance in 2008. . .
HC could name hoops coach

Sources said Mount St. Mary's coach Milan Brown was on
the Holy Cross campus today and that he could be named the
Crusaders' new basketball coach as early as tomorrow. Holy Cross
director of athletics Dick Regan said tonight he has had “a
couple people on campus this week,” but he would not confirm
any names. . .

Dominic Randolph. Well, sort of. Randolph, HC's record-setting
quarterback who graduated in December and is now working toward his
dream of playing in the NFL, has been a regular visitor to the

There is another Cincinnati-area quarterback besides the UC
Bearcats’ Tony Pike receiving attention from NFL teams
leading up to the draft. Holy Cross senior Dominic Randolph has
emerged as a top quarterback prospect sleeper. The St. Xavier High
School graduate is showing up on draft boards after two solid
performances at Pro Days at Boston College and Massachusetts. . .
