Cousy back in spotlight

When the old Basketball Hall of Fame closed its doors in 1985,
Holy Cross obtained the stained-glass display honoring Bob Cousy
with the expected intent to someday do something special with it.
But years passed, a bronze statue of Cousy was erected outside the
Hart Center, and the Hall of Fame piece pretty much went forgotten
— until last week. . .

25 years and a medical career to make it there. Reilly, an

It wasn’t that long ago when Holy Cross was the cream of the
crop in Atlantic Hockey. From 2003 to 2006 the Crusaders won nearly
20 games every year and competed for the Atlantic Hockey
Championship, capped by its upset of Minnesota in the NCAA
tournament, a feat that seemed to pave the way for others to
follow. . .
LSU plays host to Holy Cross in Alex Box

No. 13 LSU (4-0) opens a three-game series versus Holy Cross at 7
p.m. Friday in Alex Box Stadium. Game 2 of the series starts at 3
p.m. Saturday, and first pitch for Game 3 is Noon Sunday. Live

It isn't too hard to get excited about Holy Cross basketball
history — especially when six living legends are gathered at
center court of the Hart Center. At halftime of yesterday's game
against Bucknell, Holy Cross retired the jerseys of Jack “The
Shot” Foley and Ronnie Perry, and paid tribute to the elder
Ron Perry for his outstanding contributions to the school. . .

to task for worrying too much about pods and standings. I’ve
been harping for a while now on my low opinion of the new Atlantic
Hockey playoff format, while Pearl’s team has been just going
out and playing good hockey. “You’ve written the same

Ronnie Perry keeps “the picture” tucked away in a
scrapbook somewhere, but he has been reminded of the cherished
memento a lot over the last few weeks. The photo was taken in 1980,
Perry's senior year, and it's of Jack “The Shot” Foley
shaking Perry's hand, congratulating him on breaking Foley's
longtime Holy Cross scoring record. . .
