TROY, Ala. – The Holy Cross baseball team came up short against Troy University on Sunday, Feb. 20, falling by a score of 8-1 at Riddle-Pace Field.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Troy got on the board with a pair of runs in the bottom of the first.
- Third baseman Easton Kirk hit a solo home run to extend the Trojans' lead to 3-0.
- A two-run double and an RBI base hit tacked on three more runs for Troy in the fourth inning.
- Freshman third baseman Nick Wang was hit by a pitch to lead off the top of the seventh. Junior designated hitter Jordan Petrushka followed with a double to right field that drove Wang home.
- Troy earned back a run with an RBI single in the bottom half of the inning, and added another run in the eighth to take an 8-1 lead.
