BRIGHTON, Mass. – The Holy Cross baseball team fell to Boston College, 17-2, on Tuesday, March 15 at the Harrington Athletics Village.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The Eagles jumped out to an 8-0 lead through the first two innings. Holy Cross finally broke through in the top of the third; freshman second baseman Brendan Jones drew a one-out walk and later came home on an RBI single to right by senior first baseman Nate Wolf.
- The BC lead grew to 13-1 by the end of the fourth inning.
- In the top of the fifth, Jones and freshman third baseman Nick Wang drew back-to-back walks, and Jones scored after an RBI single by Petrushka. However, the Eagles tacked on three more runs in the bottom of the fifth and another run in the sixth.
- Freshman right-hander Trevor Neff pitched a 1-2-3 seventh inning. In the top of the eighth, junior righty Chris Benton and sophomore right-handed pitcher Jack Ambrosino made their Holy Cross debuts, with the two combining to throw a scoreless frame – and with Ambrosino striking out the Eagles' final batter of the evening.
