WORCESTER, Mass. - Sophomore guard Devin Brown (Baltimore, Md.) has been named the AT&T Crusader of the Week, for competition from January 11-17. Brown averaged 21.0 points per game last week, as the Holy Cross men's basketball team split a pair of games against Army and Bucknell.
During Wednesday's 67-64 loss to Army, Brown totaled 13 points and two steals. Then in Saturday's 82-69 victory over Bucknell, he led the team with a career-high 29 points and two rebounds. Over the course of the two games, Brown shot 51.9 percent from the field, 42.9 percent from three-point range and 100.0 percent at the free throw line.
On the season, Brown ranks second on the team in scoring with an average of 13.0 points per game, and has hit 47.2 percent (42 of 89) of his shots from three-point range. Over the course of his collegiate career, he has totaled 419 points, 92 rebounds and 59 assists, while making 39.1 percent (54 of 138) of his three-point field goal attempts and 80.4 percent (119 of 148) of his free throws.
Holy Cross (4-14 overall, 1-2 Patriot League) returns to action on Wednesday, Jan. 20, when it plays host to Navy at 7:00 p.m.
