WORCESTER, Mass. – Holy Cross has extended the contract of head men's basketball coach Milan Brown for one additional year, it was announced by athletic director Richard M. Regan, Jr. Brown is now under contract to serve as the head coach of the Crusader men's basketball program through the 2015-2016 season.

Brown is entering his third season at Holy Cross in 2012-2013. He owns a 16-12 record in Patriot League play during his time with the Crusaders, to go along with an overall mark of 23-35. During the 2011-2012 season, Brown led Holy Cross to an overall record of 15-14 and a fourth place finish in the Patriot League with a 9-5 mark in conference games. His team led the Patriot League in three-point field goal percentage defense (30.5 percent) and blocked shots (4.4 blocks per game), with Devin Brown earning All-Patriot League honors and Justin Burrell being selected as the Patriot League Rookie of the Year. During his first year with the Crusaders, Brown led the team to a third place finish in the Patriot League with a 7-7 mark in conference games. In addition, two of his players (Devin Brown and Andrew Keister) earned All-Patriot League honors in 2010-2011.
Prior to his time at Holy Cross, Brown spent seven seasons as the head coach at Mount St. Mary's. During his final three years with the Mountaineers, he led his squad to three straight winning seasons and a pair of postseason appearances. Brown's overall record as a collegiate head coach stands at 118-137 over nine seasons.
