WORCESTER, Mass. - Coming off a disappointing season in which it posted an overall record of 12-18 and a 4-10 mark in the Patriot League, Holy Cross looks to bounce back in 2013-2014 and once again be a contender in the conference. The Crusaders return three starters from last year's squad, and 10 out of 14 letterwinners. With the addition of six talented new players, Holy Cross has the ingredients necessary to be in the upper echelon of the league.
The Crusaders did show potential last season, ranking second in the conference in free throw shooting (75.3 percent), blocked shots (3.5 per game) and offensive rebounds (9.1 per game). Holy Cross also placed third in the Patriot League by holding its opponents to 31.8 percent shooting from three-point range last year.
Even though Holy Cross will be a very young team with only one senior on the roster, the Crusaders have the ability to finish near the top of the Patriot League standings, and be in contention for a postseason tournament bid in March.
