BOSTON, Mass. - Holy Cross head men's basketball coach Milan Brown will join the other six Division I men's basketball coaches in Massachusetts for the second annual Coaches vs. Cancer Tip-Off Breakfast on Thursday, Sept. 26, at the TD Garden from 7:30 a.m.-9:30 a.m.
ESPN's Jeff Goodman will moderate a discussion about NCAA basketball in Massachusetts and around the country and will be joined by special guest Brad Stevens, who was named the 17th head coach of the Boston Celtics back in July.
Tommy Amaker (Harvard), Bill Coen (Northeastern), Steve Donahue (Boston College), Pat Duquette (UMass Lowell), Joe Jones (Boston University) and Derek Kellogg (UMass) will participate in the panel with Brown, Goodman and Stevens in the Legends Room at TD Garden.
Proceeds from the breakfast will benefit Coaches vs. Cancer, a nationwide collaboration between the American Cancer Society and the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) that empowers basketball coaches, their teams and local communities to make a difference in the fight against cancer.
The program leverages the personal experiences, community leadership and professional excellence of basketball coaches nationwide to increase cancer awareness and promote healthy living through year-round awareness efforts, fundraising activities and advocacy programs.
