WORCESTER, Mass. - Sophomore forward Andrew Keister (Galloway, N.J.) has been named the AT&T Crusader of the Week, for competition from January 5-11. Keister averaged 17.5 points and 7.0 rebounds per game last week, as the Holy Cross men's basketball team split a pair of contests against Central Florida and Lafayette.
During Tuesday's 70-57 loss at Central Florida, Keister scored a career-high 18 points and pulled down five rebounds. He then recorded 17 points, nine rebounds and two steals in Saturday's 81-67 victory over Lafayette. Keister led the team in scoring in both games, marking the first two times he has led the team in scoring during his collegiate career. He also hit a blistering 78.9 percent (15 of 19) of his field goal attempts on the week.
Overall this season, Keister is now averaging 6.6 points and 4.8 rebounds per game, while shooting a team-best 52.1 percent (38 of 73) from the floor.
The Crusaders, who currently stand 6-10 overall and 1-0 in the Patriot League, return to action on Wednesday, Jan. 14, when they travel to Army for a 7:00 p.m. game.
