Football Remains #25 In Sports Network Poll

WORCESTER, Mass. - The Holy Cross football team is ranked 25th in the nation in this week's Sports Network poll for the football championship subdivision. The Crusaders remain in the same spot they occupied in the 2009 Sports Network preseason rankings.

Holy Cross received 348 total points in the poll, to earn the 25th spot. The only Crusader opponent in the rankings was Harvard, which received 361 points to rank 24th. The next-highest ranked team from the Patriot League was Colgate, which placed seventh among teams also receiving votes with 123 points.

The Crusaders, who opened the season with a 20-7 victory over Georgetown, return to action this Saturday, Sept. 12, when they play host to Sacred Heart at 1:00 p.m.
