Football Team Ranked In Both National Polls
WORCESTER, Mass. - The Holy Cross football team is ranked No. 21 in the nation in this week's Sports Network poll for the football championship subdivision. The Crusaders' position in the poll did not change, after they had a bye last week. Holy Cross was also moved up one spot in the FCS coaches' poll, where it is now ranked at No. 22.
In the Sports Network poll, Holy Cross received 772 total points, to earn the 21st spot. In the coaches' poll, the Crusaders placed 22nd with 134 total points. The next-highest ranked team from the Patriot League in both polls was Colgate, which was ranked 25th by the Sports Network with 192 points, and first among schools also receiving votes by the coaches with 24 points.
The Crusaders (3-0 overall, 1-0 Patriot League) return to action on Saturday, Oct. 3, with a 1:00 p.m. game at Northeastern.
