Football Team Moves Up In National Polls

WORCESTER, Mass. - The Holy Cross football team is ranked No. 22 in the nation in this week's Sports Network poll for the football championship subdivision. The Crusaders' moved up three spots in the rankings, following Saturday's 34-14 victory over Dartmouth. Holy Cross also moved up two positions in the FCS coaches' poll, where it is also ranked at No. 22.

In the Sports Network poll, Holy Cross received 479 total points, to earn the 22nd spot. In the coaches' poll, the Crusaders placed 22nd with 103 total points. The only other ranked team from the Patriot League in either poll was Colgate, which was ranked 17th by the Sports Network with 1,264 points, and 17th by the coaches with 255 points.

The Crusaders (5-1 overall, 1-0 Patriot League) return to action on Saturday, Oct. 24, when they play host to Colgate (7-0 overall, 2-0 Patriot League) at 1:00 p.m., as part of Family Weekend.
