WORCESTER, Mass. - Senior defensive end Mude Ohimor (Stoughton, Mass.) has been selected as a preseason third team All-American by Phil Steele's 2010 College Football Preview. In addition, 13 Holy Cross players were named preseason All-Patriot League by the publication.
In its preseason Patriot League team rankings, Phil Steele's 2010 College Football Preview picked Holy Cross to finish in a tie for third in the conference. Colgate was predicted to win the league, followed by Lafayette in second place. Holy Cross and Lehigh tied for third, with Fordham, Bucknell and Georgetown rounding out the rankings.
On Phil Steele's preseason All-Patriot League teams, Ohimor was joined on the first team by senior strong safety Anthony DiMichele (McKees Rocks, Pa.), senior placekicker Rob Dornfried (Berlin, Conn.), senior offensive tackle Mike McCabe (Watertown, Conn.) and junior linebacker Jimmy Thomas (Severn, Md.). junior tailback Matt Bellomo (Holliston, Mass.), senior wide receiver Luke Chmielinski (Walpole, Mass.), senior free safety Alex Johnson (Indianapolis, Ind.), senior linebacker Sean Lamkin (Jenks, Okla.), senior punter Don Lemieux (Gardner, Mass.), senior kick returner Freddie Santana (Staten Island, N.Y.), junior tight end Alex Schneider (Inner Grove Heights, Minn.), junior center Sean Whited (Canton, Ohio) were all selected to the second team.
