Holy Cross Places 11 Players On 2010 All-Patriot League Teams
Fenner played in all 11 games at cornerback for the Crusaders in 2010, starting 10 times. He ranked fifth on the team and 29th in the Patriot League with 58 total tackles, including 51 solo stops, one quarterback sack and two tackles for loss. Fenner also recorded four pass breakups, a forced fumble, a fumble recovery and a blocked punt. Over the course of his Holy Cross career, Fenner has now totaled 90 tackles, two forced fumbles and four pass breakups in 33 games played.
Lamkin makes the all-conference team for the second time in his career, after previously earning second team All-Patriot League honors in 2008. A starter in 10 out of 11 games played this year, he ranked fourth on the team with 67 total tackles, including 51 solo stops, four quarterback sacks and a team-high seven tackles for loss. Lamkin also recorded four pass breakups and a forced fumble this season. He finished the year ranked eighth in the Patriot League in sacks, 13th in tackles for loss and 19th in quarterback sacks. Over the course of his Holy Cross career, Lamkin totaled 174 tackles, five sacks, 19 tackles for loss, six pass breakups, two forced fumbles and three fumble recoveries in 45 games played.
Lemieux earns All-Patriot League honors for the second straight season, after being a second team selection in 2009. He punted 47 times for 1,838 yards this year, to rank second in the conference with an average of 39.1 yards per punt. Lemieux dropped 17 of his punts inside the opponent's 20-yard line, and had eight punts of over 50 yards. He also shared the kickoff duties for the Crusaders this year, averaging 64.0 yards with eight touchbacks on 27 kicks. Over the course of his collegiate career, Lemieux averaged 38.9 yards on 72 punts and 61.8 yards on 111 kickoffs in 27 games played.
McCabe makes his second consecutive appearance on the all-conference team, after receiving second team All-Patriot League honors last season. He started all 11 games for the Crusaders at left tackle this season, as the leader of an offensive line which paved the way for Holy Cross to average 22.6 points and 323.1 yards of total offense per game. McCabe and the offensive line also allowed just 17 sacks this year, while the team attempted 418 passes (just one sack for every 25.6 times the team dropped back to pass). He is also a two-time ESPN / CoSIDA Academic All-District selection for his work in the classroom. Over the course of his collegiate career, McCabe has played in 36 games with 25 starts along the offensive line.
Otis played in nine game this season at inside linebacker, starting every time. Despite missing two games early in the year due to injury, he led the team with 108 total tackles, including 74 solo stops and two tackles for loss. Otis also registered a forced fumble, a pass breakup and two fumble recoveries this season. He led the Patriot League in tackles and ranked second in fumble recoveries, while reaching double-figures in tackles seven times. Over the course of his collegiate career, Otis has now totaled 135 tackles in 28 games played.
Schneider earns All-Patriot League honors for the second straight season, after being a second team selection in 2009. He played in all 11 games as Holy Cross' top tight end this year, starting eight times. Schneider totaled 30 receptions for 217 yards and one touchdown, to rank fourth on the team in receiving. He was also a key blocker, helping the Crusader offense to average 323.1 total yards and 22.6 points per game. Over the course of his collegiate career, Schneider has now totaled 63 catches for 492 yards and seven touchdowns in 23 games played.
DiMichele makes his second consecutive appearance on the all-conference team, after receiving first team All-Patriot League honors last season. He ranked third on the team with 83 total tackles this year, including 72 solo stops and two tackles for loss. DiMichele has also finished the season with five pass breakups and two fumble recoveries. He ended the year ranked third in the conference in fumble recoveries, sixth in total tackles and 15th in passes defended. Over the course of his collegiate career, DiMichele totaled 237 tackles, 20 pass breakups, nine tackles for loss and four interceptions in 41 games played.
Dornfried earns All-Patriot League honors for the second straight season, after being a first team selection in 2009. He led the team in scoring this season with 57 points, while making 10 out of 13 field goals and 27 of 32 extra point attempts. Dornfried led the conference in field goal percentage, in addition to ranking fourth in scoring. He also placed eighth on the Holy Cross single season list for most field goals made. Over the course of his collegiate career, Dornfried hit 17 of 22 field goals and 67 of 73 extra points for 118 total points in 22 games played, while breaking the all-time school record by making 77.3 percent of his career field goals.
Edger saw action in nine games at wide receiver this season, starting every time. He caught 44 passes on the year for team-highs of 540 yards and seven touchdowns. Edger also completed his only pass attempt this season for a 43-yard touchdown. He finished the year ranked fifth in the Patriot League in both receptions and receiving yards, while standing seventh in scoring. Over the course of his collegiate career, Edger made 117 receptions for 1,703 yards and 16 scores in 43 games played. He ranks eighth all-time at Holy Cross in career touchdown receptions.
Ohimor makes his second consecutive appearance on the all-conference team, after receiving first team All-Patriot League honors last season. He started all 11 games this season for the Crusaders at defensive end, totaling 34 tackles with 28 solo stops and four quarterback sacks. Ohimor also recorded two forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries and a blocked extra point this year. He finished the season ranked fourth in the Patriot League in fumbles recovered and 12th in quarterback sacks. Over the course of his collegiate career, Ohimor totaled 93 tackles, 11 quarterback sacks and 16 tackles for loss in 43 games played.
Santana earns All-Patriot League honors for the second straight season, after being a second team selection in 2009. He was honored as both a wide receiver and as a return specialist this year, after playing in all 11 games with 10 starts. Santana ranked third on the team with 39 receptions for 482 yards and six touchdowns on the season, while returning 16 punts for 268 yards and a score. Santana led the conference and ranked fourth in the nation in punt returns, in addition to standing eighth in the Patriot League in all-purpose yards and ninth in receiving yards. Over the course of his collegiate career, he totaled 112 catches for 1,393 yards and 17 touchdowns in 35 games played. Santana ranks sixth all-time at Holy Cross in career touchdown receptions.
The Crusaders finished the 2010 campaign with an overall record of 6-5, while placing second in the Patriot League with a 3-2 mark in conference games. Holy Cross posted a winning record for the sixth straight season.
