WORCESTER, Mass. - The College of the Holy Cross has announced ticket information for the 2011 football season. The schedule has the Crusaders playing host to six games at Fitton Field, beginning with the season opener on Thursday, Sept. 1, against UMass at 8:00 p.m. This historic event will be Holy Cross' first home night game in the 116 years of the program.
The Sept. 1 contest vs. UMass will also feature a special presentation honoring the second class of the Crusader Football Legends Ring of Honor with George Connor (Class of ex1946), Bruce Kozerski (Class of 1984), Jon Morris (Class of 1964) and Joe Wilson (Class of 1973) as the inductees.
"We're expecting the biggest crowd in over 20 years," said director of athletics Richard M. Regan, Jr.
To accommodate its fans, Holy Cross Athletics has secured a block of rooms at a discounted rate ($109). Those interested in booking a hotel room for Thursday, Sept. 1, should call the Holy Cross ticket office. There are a limited number of rooms reserved at this rate so interested parties are encouraged to make their reservations as soon as possible.
