• Played one postgraduate year for head coach Leon Modeste at Phillips Academy in Andover, Mass.
• Posted two interceptions for Phillips Academy, one of which he returned for a touchdown.
• Previously played for head coach Jim Pletcher at Pine Crest School in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.
• Also lettered in basketball and track.
• All-County selection in both basketball and track.
• Helped lead basketball team to the 2008 Florida Class 3A state championship.
• Member of the school-record setting 4x400-meter relay team.

• Son of Calvin and Sharon Higgins.
• Has one brother (Calvin) and one sister (Alyssa).
• Majoring in Chemistry.
