HIGH SCHOOL:
• Played for head coach Matthew Walsh at Taft High School.
• Earned All-Conference honors in both 2009 and 2010.
• Selected All-City as a senior.
• Completed 69 of 143 passes for 1,029 yards and 12 touchdowns during his senior year, while rushing for 212 yards and eight scores on 39 attempts.
• Finished his high school career hitting on 139 of 287 pass attempts for 2,182 yards and 28 touchdowns.
• Led team to state playoff appearances during his junior and senior seasons.
• Named the Chicago Sun-Times Football Star of the Week in 2009, after throwing for 275 yards and three touchdowns in a victory over Gage Park.
• Also lettered in baseball, helping lead team to the school’s first-ever regional championship in 2009.
• Member of National Honor Society.
