Two Holy Cross Players Named All-ECAC

Chandler Fenner

WORCESTER, Mass. – Senior cornerback Chandler Fenner (Virginia Beach, Va.) and senior linebacker Ricky Otis (Cleves, Ohio), members of the Holy Cross football team, have been named to the 2011 All-Eastern College Athletic Conference team for the football championship subdivision. Both Fenner and Otis were second team selections.

Fenner, who started all 11 games at cornerback for the Crusaders this year, was previously named first team All-Patriot League for the second straight year. He ranked fourth on the team with 68 total tackles this season, including 56 solo stops, two quarterback sacks and three tackles for loss. Fenner also led the team with two interceptions and 14 pass breakups, in addition to forcing two fumbles. He finished the year ranked second in the Patriot League in passes defended, seventh in forced fumbles and 18th in total tackles. Over the course of his Holy Cross career, Fenner totaled 158 tackles, four forced fumbles, two interceptions, three quarterback sacks and 18 pass breakups in 44 games played.

Otis earned first team All-Patriot League honors for the second straight season in 2011, and also played in the FCS Senior Scout Bowl. A starter in all 11 games at linebacker this year, he led the team with 97 total tackles, including 81 solo stops, four quarterback sacks and 10 tackles for loss. Otis also posted an interception and five pass breakups this season. He finished the year ranked fifth in the Patriot League in tackles, sixth in tackles for loss, ninth in sacks and 16th in passes defended. Over the course of his collegiate career, Otis totaled 232 tackles, five sacks, 12 tackles for loss, seven pass breakups, two forced fumbles, an interception and a fumble recovery.
