Aaron Jones Takes Part In Carolina Panthers Rookie Mini-Camp
WORCESTER, Mass. - Former Holy Cross offensive tackle Aaron Jones (Springfield, Ohio) recently took part a rookie mini-camp with the Carolina Panthers of the National Football League. This past weekend, from May 11-13, Jones was one of 32 players in the Panthers' mini-camp on a tryout basis. He is looking to earn a spot on Carolina's 90-man roster for its first full mini-camp later this summer.
Jones earned second team All-Patriot League honors in 2009, after being a first team selection in 2008. He started all 11 games for the Crusaders at left tackle in 2009, as part of an offensive line which paved the way for Holy Cross to rank third in the nation in passing offense (312.0 yards per game), seventh in total offense (437.3 yards per game) and 14th in scoring offense (32.5 points per game). Over the course of his collegiate career, Jones played in 40 games along the offensive line with 32 starts.
