WORCESTER, Mass. - Junior linebacker Scotty O'Donoghue (Tampa, Fla.) has been named the AT&T Crusader of the Week, for competition from October 1-7. O'Donoghue helped lead the Holy Cross football team to a 13-6 victory over Bucknell last Saturday.
During the Bucknell game, O'Donoghue led the team with six total tackles, in addition to breaking up a pass and blocking a punt. He was a key part of a defense which held the Bison to just 191 total yards, 10 first downs and six points on the afternoon.
On the season, O'Donoghue now ranks third on the team with 35 total tackles, to go along with a sack, a forced fumble, a blocked punt and two pass breakups. Over the course of his collegiate career he has totaled 49 tackles, including 39 solo stops.
Holy Cross (1-4 overall, 1-0 Patriot League) returns to action on Saturday, Oct. 13, when it travels to Colgate for a 1:00 p.m. game.
