
Mark McDonough is in his fifth season on the Crusader coaching staff in 2009, where he serves as the linebackers coach. In 2008, two of McDonough’s players earned All-Patriot League honors, in Sean Lamkin and Marcus Rodriguez. He previously helped guide the careers of All-Patriot League selection Dan Adams and two-time Academic All-District selection Chris Nielsen.
McDonough came to Holy Cross from Springfield College, where he served as inside linebackers coach for two seasons. He helped lead the Pride to an overall record of 18-3 and two NCAA Division III playoff appearances in 2003 and 2004, with the 2003 squad posting a 10-0 mark in the regular season and earning the top seed in the NCAA East Region.
McDonough is a 2002 graduate of Ithaca College, where he earned third team Division III All-America honors from Don Hansen’s National Weekly Football Gazette as a senior.
McDonough is single and resides in Worcester.
