Holy Cross Football Team Set To Start Spring Practice

WORCESTER, Mass. - The Holy Cross football team is scheduled to hold its first spring practice session of 2009 on Thursday, March 19, at 7:00 p.m. The Crusaders are coming off a 2008 season in which they posted an overall record of 7-4, and placed second in the Patriot League with a 5-1 mark in conference games. Holy Cross returns 15 starters off last year's squad, including nine of 11 starters on the defensive side of the ball. Among the returnees are six players who earned All-Patriot League honors last season: senior offensive tackle Aaron Jones (Springfield, Ohio), senior linebacker Sean Lamkin (Jenks, Okla.), senior offensive guard Chris Poole (Scituate, Mass.), senior quarterback Dominic Randolph (Amelia, Ohio), senior linebacker Marcus Rodriguez (Peoria, Ariz.) and senior cornerback Michael Wright (Fort Washington, Md.).
