WORCESTER, Mass. - Senior cornerback Kyle Mushaweh (Woodbury, Conn.) has been named the AT&T Crusader of the Week, for competition from September 22-28. Mushaweh helped lead the Holy Cross football team to a 38-14 victory at Georgetown on Saturday.
During the win over the Hoyas, Mushaweh intercepted three passes and made four solo tackles. His first interception came on the second play of the game at the Georgetown 23-yard line, setting up the Crusaders' first touchdown. His three total interceptions tied for the fourth-most ever by a Holy Cross player in a single game, and the most since Tom Estep picked off three passes against Colgate in 1987.
Overall this season, Mushaweh now has a team-best three interceptions to go along with 14 total tackles, two pass breakups and one tackle for loss. Over the course of his collegiate career, he has totaled seven interceptions, 13 pass breakups and 131 total tackles.
The Crusaders return to action on Saturday, Oct. 4, when they travel to Yale for a 12:30 p.m. game.
