WORCESTER, Mass. - Sophomore tailback Terrance Gass (Sicklerville, N.J.) has been named the Holiday Inn Express Crusader of the Week, for competition from September 25-October 1. Gass totaled 158 total yards from scrimmage and scored two touchdowns last Saturday, as the Holy Cross football team defeated Fordham 28-21 at Fitton Field.
In the victory over the Rams, Gass recorded the first 100-yard game of his collegiate career, running 21 times for 102 yards and a touchdown. He also tied for the team lead in receptions, catching five passes for 56 yards and another score. Gass' first touchdown came at the 10:51-mark of the first quarter, when he scored on a one-yard run to put the Crusaders up 7-0. He later scored again on an 11-yard pass from sophomore quarterback Dominic Randolph (Amelia, Ohio), to make the score 21-3.
On the season, Gass now leads the team in rushing with 278 yards and two touchdowns on 62 carries. He has also totaled 10 receptions this year for 78 yards and two scores.
The Crusaders (3-2 overall, 2-0 Patriot League) return to action on Saturday, Oct. 7, when they play host to Brown at 1:00 p.m.
