WORCESTER, Mass. - Junior Colin Andrade (Assonet, Mass.) has been named the AT&T Crusader of the Week, for competition from April 5-11. Andrade had the lowest score on the team in two events last week for the Holy Cross men's golf team.
Andrade opened the week by shooting a 74 at the Lou Flumere Invitational to finish in a three-way tie for first place. He then recorded a birdie on the first playoff hole to claim the individual title. Andrade followed up that performance by totaling 148 strokes over two rounds to finish 10th at the New England Division I Championship. He carded a 68 on the second day of the tournament, good for the lowest round of his collegiate career.
As a team, the Crusaders finished in second place at the Lou Flumere Invitational and in sixth place at the New England Division I Championship.
Holy Cross returns to action on Saturday and Sunday, April 24 and 25, when it takes part in the Patriot League Championship at the Seven Oaks Golf Course in Hamilton, N.Y.
