Crusaders To Start The Season At The CCSU Invitational

Schedule: Saturday-Sunday, Sept. 8-9 at Central Connecticut Invitational, Wethersfield, Conn.

• The Crusaders will start the 2012 fall season when they travel to Wethersfield, Conn., to compete in the Central Connecticut Invitational on Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 8-9, at the Wethersfield Country Club. Last year, Holy Cross placed seventh out of 12 teams.
• Senior Steve Zychowski (Mendham, N.J.) competed at the 2012 U.S. Amateur Championship. He finished stroke play with a two-round score of 149 (+8) and tying for 162nd place out of 310 golfers. This was the second time that Zychowski competed at the tournament as he also qualified in 2010.
• Zychowski, Roberto Machado (Miami, Fla.) and Michael McCarthy (Tolland, Conn.) will be the 2012-2013 team captains. This is head coach Bob Molt's 37th season.
