WORCESTER, Mass. - Senior goalie Ian Dams (Manotick, Ontario) has been named the AT&T Crusader of the Week, for competition from February 22-28. Dams earned his first win of the season in Friday night's 4-1 victory over Bentley at the Hart Center.
During the win over Bentley, Dams made 19 saves while allowing just one goal in 59 minutes, 54 seconds of action. With that performance, he helped the Crusaders clinch the No. 7 seed in the Atlantic Hockey Tournament.
Overall this season, Dams has a 1-1 record with a 2.16 goals against average and 59 saves. Over the course of his collegiate career, he has an overall record of 18-22-4 with 1,201 saves and a 3.08 goals against average. Dams currently ranks second on the all-time Holy Cross Division I record list for wins, while standing third in saves and fourth in goals against average.
Holy Cross (11-17-6 overall, 10-13-5 Atlantic Hockey) returns to action on Friday, March 5, when it plays host to American International College at 7:00 p.m. in the opening round of the Atlantic Hockey Tournament.
