WORCESTER, Mass. - Senior foward Everett Sheen (Lethbridge, Alberta) has been named the AT&T Crusader of the Week, for competition from March 7-13. Sheen led the Holy Cross men's ice hockey team to a victory over Canisius in its Atlantic Hockey quarterfinal series last weekend.
During the second game of the series with the Golden Griffins on Saturday night, Sheen scored both of the Crusaders' goals in a 3-2 overtime loss. Then in the deciding game of the series on Sunday night, a 7-3 Holy Cross win, he tallied a goal and an assist. Over the course of the three games, Sheen finished at +7 during his time on the ice.
Overall this season, Sheen ranks second on the team in scoring with 34 points on 17 goals and 17 assists. He has totaled 102 points on 52 goals and 51 assists throughout his collegiate career, and became the 39th player in school history with 100 career points on Saturday.
The Crusaders (17-15-5 overall, 14-8-5 Atlantic Hockey) return to action this Friday, March 18, when they face Air Force in the semifinals of the Atlantic Hockey Tournament. The opening face is will take place at approximately 7:15 p.m. (60 minutes following the conclusion of the RIT-Connecticut game) at the Blue Cross Arena in Rochester, N.Y.
