WORCESTER, Mass. - Freshman goaltender Matt Ginn (Lindsay, Ontario) has been named the AT&T Crusader of the Week, for competition from December 5-11. Ginn helped lead the Holy Cross men's ice hockey team to a 3-1 victory over Army in its only game last week.
During Saturday afternoon's victory over the Black Knights, Ginn made 24 saves while allowing just one goal to earn the victory. He finished the day with a .960 save percentage. By recording the win, Ginn has now posted a victory in each of his last three starts.
On the season, Ginn stands 6-5-0 with 276 saves, a 3.02 goals against average and a .887 save percentage in 12 games played.
Holy Cross (8-7 overall, 6-4 in Atlantic Hockey) returns to action on Friday, Dec. 30, when it travels to Dartmouth.
