WORCESTER, Mass. - Junior forward Erik Vos (Carlisle, Ontario) has been named the AT&T Crusader of the Week, for competition from January 9-15. Vos scored three of the team's four goals last weekend, as the Holy Cross men's ice hockey team split a pair of games at Robert Morris.
During Friday night's 4-3 overtime loss to the Colonials, Vos scored two of the Crusaders' goals. Both of his goals came after Holy Cross trailed 3-1 in the third period, including a shorthanded goal with just 2:04 remaining in regulation to force overtime. Then in Saturday's 1-0 victory over Robert Morris, Vos scored the only goal of the night for his second game-winner of the season.
On the season, Vos has totaled a team-high 10 goals and five assists for 15 points. Over the course of his Holy Cross career, he now has 22 goals and 19 assists for 41 points.
The Crusaders return to action this Friday, Jan. 20, when they play host to Mercyhurst at 7:00 p.m.
