TRONDHEIM, Norway – Former Holy Cross men's hockey player and 2012 graduate Mike Daly (South Burlington, Vt.) has signed with Rosenborg of Norway's top hockey league. Rosenborg is located in Trondheim, Norway, and is a member of Get-ligaen which is the premier Norwegian hockey league.
Over the course of his collegiate career, Daly totaled nine goals and 50 assists for 59 points in 137 games played. As a senior captain, the defenseman played in 28 games for the Crusaders, scoring 21 points on one goal and a team-best 20 assists. Daly received the Tomasell Unsung Hero Award from the New England Hockey Writers in 2010-2011, and was a two-time recipient of the team's Glenn Crane Award as the player who excels in the little things necessary to win. As a sophomore he won the Michael P. Quinn Award, given to the best defenseman on the team over the course of the season. Daly was a four-time selection to the Atlantic Hockey All-Academic team, in addition to earning Capitol One Academic All-District honors in 2010-2011.
