FREDRIKSTAD, Norway – Former Holy Cross men's hockey player and 2012 graduate Andrew Cox (Lombardy, Ontario) has signed with Stjernen Hockey of Norway's top hockey league. Stjernen is located in Fredrikstad, Norway, and is a member of Get-ligaen which is the premier Norwegian hockey league.
Cox played in all 39 games for the Crusaders as a senior in the 2011-2012 season, ranking second on the team with 33 points on 15 goals and 18 assists. He tied for the lead both on the team and in Atlantic Hockey with five game-winning goals this year, in addition to ranking sixth in the conference in points and eighth in goals scored. Cox was named the AT&T Crusader of the Week following a sweep of Canisius this season, and received the 2011 Holy Cross Winter Homecoming MVP trophy following the Crusaders' victory over Army. A four-time member of the Atlantic Hockey All-Academic team, Cox finished his collegiate career with 30 goals and 38 assists for 68 points in 133 games played.
