Adam Schmidt Named Atlantic Hockey Player Of The Week

WORCESTER, Mass. – Holy Cross junior forward Adam Schmidt (Warrington, Pa.) has been named the Team Travel USA Atlantic Hockey Player of the Week as he tallied three goals and two assists for five points as the Crusaders went 1-0-1 versus RIT. This is the second time he has earned Atlantic Hockey Player of the Week as he received this honor once during his sophomore season, while this is his third career weekly award as he was named the Rookie of the Week in the 2010-2011 season.

On Nov. 17, he scored three goals for his second career hat-trick in the 7-3 win, while on Nov. 18, he posted two assists as the Crusaders tied the Tigers, 3-3. For the season, he is tied for second on the team in goals with five, while he is tied for third with eight points. For his career, Schmidt has 29 goals and 37 assists for 66 points. 

The Crusaders (7-2-1 overall, 6-2-1 AHA) return to action when they travel to Providence, R.I., to take on Brown (2-3-2 overall, 0-2-2 ECACHL) on Sunday, Nov. 25 at 4:00 p.m.
