WORCESTER, Mass. - Senior forward Brandon Nunn (Fairport, N.Y.), a member of the men's ice hockey team, has been selected as the 2012-2013 Crusader of the Year. The award was presented at the 58th annual Holy Cross Varsity Club dinner, held at the Hogan Campus Center on Satruday, May 4.
Nunn was named a Senior Class Award first team All-American this year, for his accomplishments both on and off the ice. During the 2012-2013 campaign, he scored a team-best 16 goals and 11 assists for 27 points, as Holy Cross posted its second straight 20-win season. Nunn finished his collegiate career with 39 goals and 30 assists for 69 points in 109 games played, while leading the Crusaders to an overall record of 69-64-18 during his four years.
Off the ice, he has been a three-time selection to the Atlantic Hockey All-Academic team and is a member of the Alpha Sigma Nu honor society. Nunn also founded Power Play Points for Pink, which has raised over $22,000 to fund breast cancer research and treatment, and has been active in the Crusaders for Kids program.
