
Rob Godfrey is in his second season on the Holy Cross staff and
his first as an assistant coach. He was the director of hockey
operations in 2007-2008. As an assistant coach with the Crusaders,
his responsibilities include recruiting and working with all
positions with an emphasis on defense. A native of Thunder Bay,
Ontario, and a 2007 graduate of Holy Cross, Godfrey had an
outstanding career as a defenseman for the Crusaders. He played in
121 career games with nine goals and 25 assists for 34 points,
including four goals and seven assists for 11 points as a senior
and four goals and 12 assists for 16 points as a junior. In
2005-06, Godfrey was named the Atlantic Hockey Best Defensive
Defenseman, while he received the Glenn "Spike" Crane Memorial
Award and the Seventh Player Award. As a senior, he served as the
team's assistant captain and received the Dr. James M. Stewart
Memorial Award which is the Coaches Award given for commitment,
leadership and performance.
