WORCESTER, Mass. - Senior forward Tyler McGregor (Ajax, Ontario) has been named the Holiday Inn Express Crusader of the Week, for competition from February 6-12. McGregor totaled two goals and two assists last week, as the Holy Cross men's ice hockey team split a pair of games with Canisius.
In Friday night's 5-2 victory over the Golden Griffins, McGregor scored two goals and added an assist. His assist came on a goal by sophomore forward Cal St. Denis at the 6:30 mark of the first period to tie the score at 1-1. He then scored a goal later in the first period to tie the score at 2-2, and added his second goal in the third period to put the Crusaders up 4-2. McGregor also had an assist on Holy Cross' only goal in the 3-1 loss to Canisius on Saturday night.
On the season, McGregor has now recorded team-highs of 21 goals and 20 assists for 41 points. Over the course of his Holy Cross career, he has 124 points on 65 goals and 59 assists.
The Holy Cross men's ice hockey team (20-7-1 overall, 16-5-1 Atlantic Hockey) returns to action on Friday, Feb. 17, when it travels to Mercyhurst for a 7:00 p.m. game.
