Pierre Napert-Frenette Named Crusader Of The Week

WORCESTER, Mass. - Senior forward Pierre Napert-Frenette (Bathurst, New Brunswick) has been named the Holiday Inn Express Crusader of the Week, for competition from February 27-March 5. Napert-Frenette led the Holy Cross men's ice hockey team to a pair of victories over Bentley last week, as the Crusaders wrapped up the Atlantic Hockey regular season title.

During Saturday's 3-2 win over Bentley which clinched first place in Atlantic Hockey, Napert-Frenette scored the game-winning goal with only 1:03 left in the third period. He had previously assisted on a goal by junior forward James Sixsmith (Alexandria, Va.) in the second period, which had tied the score at 2-2.

On the season, Napert-Frenette ranks second on the team in scoring with 37 points on 13 goals and 27 assists. He has totaled 130 points during his collegite career on 51 goals and 79 assists, and is tied for 19th place on the all-time Holy Cross scoring list with senior forward Tyler McGregor (Ajax, Ontario), who has 66 goals and 64 assists.

The Holy Cross men's ice hockey team (23-9-2 overall, 19-7-2 Atlantic Hockey) returns to action on Saturday, March 11, when it plays host to American International College in the quarterfinal round of the Atlantic Hockey Tournament.
